Week 12
We win 1 and lose 1 this week. We end the regular season 1 game above 0.500. Next week we have the opportunity to play Light Blue and perhaps White.

Individual Comments

Heather- Missing this week

Wes- Wes will be available for the final week. Our task is to make it through the first week of playoffs. I definitely would like one more opportunity to have the big man out there to catch my junky throws so it is in our hands to win two games for all those that will only be able to make the final week.

Dan- Missing this week and next. I heard he is missing next week since he has the opportunity to play inside spoon to Brophy’s outside spoon at Brophy’s family’s lake cottage in Wisconsin. With that excuse who can blame him, Brophy, is like a big cuddly teddy bear.

Michelle- While we are having our tasty juice boxes and heckling Brophy, Michelle was in Georgia wishing she was with us. She can reminisce about the sweet times on the Asphalt team if her lazy captain ever sent out or posted the pictures that he took a month ago.

Cody- If Cody were a true team player he would drive in from Michigan next week to help ensure we have 7 or maybe even a sub. I totally understand him not driving in though, with the cost of gas and the fact that the sheer mass of his love handles alone causes his van to get 1.2 miles per a gallon it would be cost prohibitive to attend.

Kari- Kari was in Chicago this week for a Harry Potter convention. She has sent an owl informing us that she will return to the land of the Muggles next week prepared to try her best to get Asphalt safely through the first week of playoffs.

Jane- In the longest farewell tour ever we were graced with Jane this week. Being the only lady present she had the opportunity to play at least 90% of the points. As always she is just fun to watch. We may have even convinced her to carpool in with Felix next week to make sure we have 7. If Jane is able to make it I envision at some point we will have all the fun cliché handler points like (All Girl Handles, All Asian Handles, Oreo Cookie Handles)

Rob- Rob had some really amazing D and O this week. He had at least 2 scores in succession and was able to generate some nice take away D’s for us.

Felix- Felix had some really decent play this week. I am excited that he is one of the maybe 7 showing up next week. Both he and Rob are already solid players and I will be excited to see them next year after another year of experience in college.

Neil- Neil has definitely rubbed the rust off from being off for a few weeks. He looked pretty good for an old man eligible for the Masters division.

Chops- Chops has made good use of the $9.95 spent on the Kum and Go caps. It is just so humorous to watch Chops make nice cuts and throws wearing his red hat that still has the price tag flapping in the wind.

Scott- Scotty had some great D in the first game and was instrumental in our dump, swing, continue strategy.

Khoa- Khoa has a habit of showing up right on time. It is always a relief when he shows up. It has been a true joy to have him on our team this year and am excited and scared to see how him and I hold up next week playing two savage games. Seeing how old we are perhaps I should modify that last statement to possibly playing two savage games.

Brophy- I have three comments on Brophy’s play. If you can guess them I will have a juice box for you next week.

Hidden:

Luckily not too many people read this forum since I’m sure you all got the comments right and I’d hate to promise juice boxes that I don’t have (seems to happen every week though sorry Grant A).

Endless- From your posts apparently you believe Brown falls apart without you. Team Asphalt decided that your negativity would be a hindrance to our team. So you will remain on Brown. J/K at this point with our low numbers I would even be excited if Brophy showed up next week.

As of now I believe we will have 7 players present next week. Please let me know if you are not on this list and will be able to make it or if I counted you in the seven and you will be unable to attend.
