Subject: ACTION REQUIRED - Summer League 2007

Hello All,

First off, I would like to thank you for signing up for the Des Moines Ultimate Summer League 2007. We hope to make this the best Summer League yet.

This is a very long email, so please read the whole thing.
Here is a quick run down of the items that will be covered:

1. Sign-up at the Fields – how it will work this year.
2. The new IowaUltimate Forum
3. What happens if I did not get signed up in time?
4. How do I get to the Summer League Fields?

Sign-up at the Fields

Everyone that signed up before May 18th has been placed on a Summer League team. You can find out which team you are on by visiting the Rosters link on www.iowaultimate.com.

There is one more step that needs to be completed by you BEFORE you show on this Wednesday May 23rd. To try and simplify sign-up at the fields, we are going to try something new. Hopefully this will allow YOU to have all the correct paperwork that is REQUIRED to join Summer League.

Step 1:
Go here: http://www.iowaultimate.com/dm/findname.asp

Step 2:
Enter your last name (or any part of it) into the input box.

Step 3:
Click the Find Player button

Step 4:
A list of all players that match the search criteria will be presented

Step 5:
Click on YOUR name (this is the name you signed up with)

Step 6:
A new page will be launched. PRINT THIS PAGE. YOU WILL NEED IT TO MAKE THE REGISTRATION ON WEDNESDAY NIGHT TO GO SMOOTHLY. The page should have your last six of your SS# or your UPA number, all the links to all the waivers that need to be printed, filled out, and signed, which team you will be on, and which size shirt you will be receiving.

Step 7:
YOU WILL NEED TO BRING THE CHECK LIST PAGE, PLUS ANY WAIVERS AND MEDICAL WAIVERS, AND YOUR MONEY (see instructions on the check list page) TO THE FIRST NIGHT OF SUMMER LEAGUE (or the first night that you will be attending). Please remember, you will NOT be allowed to play without signed waivers. This includes medical waivers for players less than 18 years. You will need a parents or guardians to sign this form.

Sign-up registration will start at 5:30 on May 23rd at the Summer League fields. Please come as close to that time as possible so we can the paper work completed before our game. The first game (and only game that night) will start promptly at 7:15 pm and go until 8 pm.

The new IowaUltimate Forum

This year we have started an IowaUltimate Forum. You can find a link to the Forum on www.iowaultimate.com (on the left hand side) or by going to http://iowaultimate.freeforums.org. Here you will find a bunch of information about the league and about Iowa Ultimate. You will need to register to post information on the site. Also, each team will have there own spot. We will be uploading your name and email address to your Team’s forum.

What happens if I did not get signed up in time?

If you or your friends that want to play this year, please bring them out. Trent will be placing them onto teams that night. You or your friends will need the following: Signed waivers (including medical waivers) and a cash or check for $35 dollars. Most likely you or your friends will end up on different teams. You or your friends will have to then also sign up on the website (a special link will be sent by email) after the week they join.

How do I get to the Summer League Fields?

We have asked this year that the gate off of Valley Drive be opened for us. Please try this entrance first. In the following weeks, make sure that you allow enough time to get to the first game ON TIME (the first game will start promptly at 6:15 pm) if the gate is not open. PLEASE obey the 20 miles per hour limit once you are inside the park.
